In your hotel you will be met by a representative from Smile to Africa Adventure and introduced to your driver guide who will accompany you on the beginning part of your safari.

The first morning of this adventure takes you from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi city to the small but beautiful soda ash lake located in the famous Great Rift Valley, named Lake Elementaita.

Here you will have the opportunity to partake in a number of optional activities bird watching, horse riding or boat rides on Lake Naivasha that takes you to Crescent Island for a walking safari. This is one of the few places in the world where one can wander on foot amidst wild animals.

Dinner and overnight at taphe resort hotel or camp

Day 2 - Lake Elementaita - Lake Nakuru

Today is an exciting day as you will have the opportunity to witness one of the greatest bird spectacles on earth. Lake Nakuru National park is world famous for the sheer number of flamingos which reside there due to the abundance of algae to be found in the lake waters. Both Lesser flamingos (distinctive for being smaller and having a reddish bill) and the Greater flamingos which are larger and have a black tip to their bill make Lake Nakuru their home as well as a smaller number of pelicans.

In addition to the flamingo spectacle, Lake Nakuru National park also offers the largest concentrations of rhino (both black and white) to be found in Kenya. Other species commonly found in the area include waterbuck, Rothschild’s giraffe, giant python, with lion and leopard making the odd appearance. Lunch is enjoyed in the park at a lovely picnic site overlooking the lake. Return to hotel  just in-time for sundowners and a well-deserved meal.

Dinner and overnight at Golden hotel or similar

Day 3 - Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After breakfast then proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve with it high concentration of wildlife and outstanding scenic views and lunch on the way to Masai mara. Arrive in the Masai mara in the Afternoon game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight at tented camp.

Day 4 – Full Day Masai Mara safari

Full day game viewing in this typical savannah country a well-known site for various wildlife movies. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The Mara's gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq km - an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 km west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight a Rhino or Leopard but you have to be very keen since Rhinos in Masai Mara are very elusive and it’s not easy to spot them unlike the leopard. On this day you will explore the Masai Mara and you will have your lunch at the Mara River, this is one of the desire of many travelers as this is the point where the great Migration of the Wildebeest takes place, the annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north at this point you will also be able to spot in the Mara River Hippos play and Cross bask on the banks. Full board accommodation at tented camp.

Day 5 – Full day Masai Mara camping safari

This morning, there is the opportunity to rise early and experience a game viewing adventure from an entirely different perspective optional A hot air balloon safari across the Masai Mara which can be arranged which takes off in the crisp morning air, and lasts for approximately an hour, allows for a beautifully peaceful experience floating silently high above plains, forests and rivers. Upon landing a fully cooked champagne breakfast awaits.

More game viewing opportunities arise later that morning en-route back to camp and in the afternoon. In addition to the spectacular game to be found here, there are also over 450 species of birds that have been identified in the Masai Mara Ecosystem. Full board accommodation at tented camp.
